OUTFOXED : Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism (78 minutes)

this is a video on the bias of mainstream media. which is generally all biased, but it especially interesting in the case of fox - because it is done to the extreme. this is really obvious to see if you watch any fox news after watching this video. this video should make you angry!

i knew it was biased before, but until watching this never how much it was obviously so. i am all for ron paul and his coverage is ridiculous. they either try and put out that he is a kook, or spin and belittle everything he does. like they covered that he leads (clearly) in military donations - but then try to come up with some reasons as why the data is untrustworthy, and he must have had some special liberal campaign targeted towards this or something. ridiculous. michelle malakin also makes me want to punch her in the stomach.

i've never "watched" fox news...but i saw a clip on myspace...can't remember what it was but someone had apparently made an appearance and was proud of it....now correct me if i'm wrong as i've only seen a 5 minute clip *and that was more shit than a sewer system* but all i heard were a group of untalented uninformed unhumorous bunch of nitwits doing a bad knock off of a b rated comedy show and laughing at their own jokes as if they were bringing the whole world to a new higher plane of existance all the while making cringe and want to shoot them if not for nothing more than to make sure they never breed ever....but that's just me....

With 18 of 20 major media sources leaning left, maybe one or two should lean to the right.

http://www.newsroom.ucla.edu/page.asp?RelNum=6664

Of the 20 major media outlets studied, 18 scored left of center, with CBS' "Evening News," The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times ranking second, third and fourth most liberal behind the news pages of The Wall Street Journal

--

I recall a study of the last election that showed Fox to be as balanced as CNN in election coverage. I was covered in USA Today.

Usually when I hear people complaining about FOX News, they talk about O'Reilly etc. But those are opinion shows in the evening not the news that runs during the day.

Downloads are pretty slow over here in iraq so no I didn't watch the videos. But over the years I have paid attention to the various studies of media accuracy. And while the news portion (not the editorial shows) tends to lean to the right, it turns out closer to the center in many cases than many of the the other outlets which lean to the left. In other words, most who think Fox News is extreme right wing are comparing a fairly centrist network to the extreme left and counting the left as center.

And I should've added,

That's why I get my news from a variety of sources, Broadcast, Print and Net. I especially prefer magazines like The Economist which take time to think about and analyze before jumping in like the 24 hour cycle broadcast media does with its emphasis on being first and correcting the mistakes later.
