Lo mein!!! I dont know why, well I guess it's obviously because of the little one, but for the last 3 days I have wanted nothing but Chinese food, particularly Beef Lo Mein.............and I havent gotten it *insert crying smiley cuz I cant find it*

It's pretty much just noodles with either beef and vegetables or just vegetables. I get the beef one just because I like the flavor better but I dont actually eat the beef. I just REALLY like the noodles.

I forgot about the shrimp lo mein too. I still just end up eating the noodles though. I dont know what it is but i've become more and more of a vegetarian as I get older. I hardly ever eat steak anymore, mostly just chicken, some shrimp here and there, and lots of pasta and vegetables and fruit.

That's funny cause I'm originally from the west coast, and yea, it's called Chow Mein on the west coast, but here in Illinois, everywhere I go it's called Lo Mein. The first time I went to eat @ a chinese restaurant in Springfield, I ordered some Chow Mein and they brought me a steaming gooey pile of vegetables, I was like umm wtf is this, I ordered Chow Mein. The lady told me that was Chow Mein, me of course called her a liar and told her no, THIS! is Chow Mein and pointed at a picture, she then told me that it's called Lo Mein, I proceeded to apologize and asked to get that instead....I hope they didn't spit in my food...meh doesn't matter now anyway, since I ate it anyway!

um...so beef and noodles...can't you get that at the local supermarket? can make as much as you want and don't have to worry about whether the people in the back of the restaurant spit in it or not

lol that is funny, shows you how things can be different varying from state to state.

Theres an idea...Though at my Chinese restaurant I would just get the Buffet and get what ever I wanted. And now you made me hungry for Lo Mein thanks Nikki lol.

went to the store....a bag of noodles a pack of boneless chicken meat and beef stock.....for less that $10 i got three to four servings....just a thoughtful tip.
