I swear, its like War of the Worlds here today except its "Mother Nature" Vs. "We the People". I've seen some monster storms from living in Florida for two years, but this stuff was awesome. It was a shame I didn't have my camcorder handy to film some of this stuff. Luckily my car did not become best friends with a tree, unlike some other unlucky people.

I'm not too far away from Chicago and it got pretty bad out here. Freaking flash floods everywhere and strong winds. Even got some water in my basement and my basement never leaks. Stupid rain....:twoup:

Yea I was out in it for a bit yesterday and tonight is supposed to be pretty bad as well. Quite a few flights were canceled tonight because of the storms coming in.

I'm supposed to drive back at to NIU tomorrow but I just got an e-mail from the school stating that only two bridges in/out of DeKalb are open. They didn't even tell me what two roads those would be either. Should be a fun drive.

Ohh that's a rough drive to DeKalb in the first place with all of that open land... now with the bridges out... ouch.. be careful can get very windy and interesting out there.
