How on earth have the Devil Rays got such short odds? I thought they were some kind of national joke...

I've stuck a tenner on them anyway, since they're technically my team...

You know the Rays made it to the World Series last year, right? They got their asses handed to them, but they're going to be competitive for a few years at least. If they're your team, you at least have hope. Plus, they added Pat Burrell, which means they could lead the league in strikeouts, too! Just, you know, not in the good way.

How the hell are the Red Sox at the top of the list? I'll eat my hat if they even make it to the playoffs.

I don't watch men's rounders but I went to a Rays game when I was in St Petersburg a few Summers ago. They were god awful then, the game I saw they were bottom of the league and up against the second-from-bottom team from Baltimore (the Oreos?).
