As the preseason is getting closer to an end, and regular season is about to start. I want to see what team you think is going to win the Superbowl. So who is going to win the Superbowl?
My vote of course goes to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

i'd like to see the Patriots win one more...give Vinny Testaverde that all elusive one superbowl ring (I hear he's retiring after this season...and a ring will bring him closer to the hall of fame...he freaking deserves it)....i'd like to see the Falcons go to the play offs under Harrington and the Texans under Schaub so i can make even more fun of what few Vick fans are left that their poster boy was really a shit quarterback and more a glorified running back....and of course my beloved Cowboys...were stronger better and wiser..and not so confined....were gonna kick ass....so my hope is Pats beat Cowboys in the Superbowl so Vinny can retire with a bang.

Like to see the Pats/Cowboys in the big game, but the NFC as a whole is wide open. There are quite a few AFC teams almost guaranteed barring injury to be the class of the league, but the NFC is insane this year, there are very few teams other than the giants that you can write off at this point, should be a great year to watch....

it's ok, he held a conference to declare that he is fine, and just got a bit nervous, nothing to be alarmed at....... it's not like a mortal human citizen did it, it's ok for these guys.
my favorite team is the titans so even though everyone has already written them off as having a mediocre season im still saying they can make it to the playoffs. 2 best teams in the AFC are ravens and pats..nfc its a tossup theres so many average teams but i think philly will be good this year as well as the saints.

Amen Davey!
Belicheck (sp) = Overrated!
Remember when he coached the Browns in the 90's? He was god awful!! But sine the Pats won 3 Championships, suddenly he's a freakin genius. Whatever. I call Bullshit. He was handed a machine built by Bill Parcels. Parcels left to coach the Jets & Billy boy took his already built machine in New England and won some championships. I would LOVE to see what Belicheck does with not so good teams............. Oh wait, we already did in the 90's with the Browns!! We all know how that turned out! I have an issue of Sports Illistrated back then calling him the worst coach in the NFL. And now, that same magazine calls him a genius! Whatever!!
But anyway, my pick is my Denver Broncos. Were gonna get our Super Bowl without Elway finally. All we need is to improve our pass rush and were straight. With Simeon Rice signing on for a year, I think that's gonna be much improved. Just think, Champ Bailey got 10 interceptions last year with NO pass rush. My god, just think what he'll get this year! Plus we got Dre Bly on the other side! I'm getting too excited! I can't wait for this season to get started!

In Bills defense...the Browns are a enigma of failure..they've had head coaches like Chris Palmer....and gurus like Butch Davis...and defensive genius Romeo Crennel...nobody can save these lackluster losers from the depths of NFL hell it seems.....who is to blame??? don't know....maybe Cleveland is just cursed to have a shitty football team.

thats what im talkin about, except for the losin to the pats in the super bowl...since we are a lil into the season, i will give my expert analysis..lol..New England sure does look unstoppable..but then again, so did the colts 2 years ago..they won 13 strait..then lost their next 4, includin their first playoff game..im predicting something like this to happen to NEw England..i see a surprise team in the super bowl in the AFC...Jacksonville or Tennessee may shock some people..in the nfc..not just because i like the cowboys..but they really are the best team in the NFC..and hands down play in the toughest division...the cowboys showed brilliance in their D last week against the vikings..limiting a powerful, and amazing running back in peterson, to a mediocre game..ure top 3 in the NFC are Dallas, Washington, and its a toss up between Green Bay, Tampa Bay, and the Giants...the super bowl, which is in AZ, which i just fucking moved from, is gonna be Dallas against Jacksonville

its all about draft picks.. some teams will look and say "we have no chance this year, so why bother figning to get 8 wins, so miss the playoffs anyway. instead they look at the draft class, see who they like and shoot fo the pick they beleive they need to grab em at.
i still think the best story of this year is gonna be the pats, who should make it far in the playoffs, maybe even win it all, and still get a high 1st round pick thanks to SF blowing :)
before i hear the "blah blah cheat blah blah steal blah blah" crap, ALL TEAMS CHEAT, ALL TEAMS BEND THE RULES AND TRY TO GET AWAY WITH SHIT. the pats are just the ones that got caught. remember, it is LEGAL to tape the sidelines, you just cant do it from the oppisong teams side, if that guy was in the 1st row of the crowd beind their bench, it would be perfectly legal, and dont tell me some teams dont put people in the stands... im not foolish enough to say they didnt break the rules, but im also not foolish enough to beleive no other team does. and since they got caught, and the tapes were destroyed(according to the leagues report, which thats all we can go by to prove anything) they are still winning, so they must have photgraphic memories of what they saw in that 1st quarter opf the 1st game, and it someone applies to every otehr team in teh league, or they have illegal tapes from every team from past years, which means they must have beat every team this badly every year...
but wait, thats not the case, indy beat us 3 times in a row, last year in a key playoff game that we were way ahead in going into half time, and then they came back and murdered us.. so wait, does that mean they had out playbook in the 2nd half last year? cant be, only the pats cheat. if the pats comeback to win, they cheated, if indy does it by a MUCH higher margin, they are just a good team.. makes plenty of sense. better quit drinking that haterade, this year isnt gonna get much prettier for indy(bye bye freeney)

11-16-2007, 04:50 AM
The last NFL team to go without a victory was the 1982 Baltimore Colts, who finished 0-8-1 in a strike-shortened season. The last team to play a complete season without a victory was the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who finished 0-14. The only other team to go winless in the game's modern era was the expansion Cowboys, who finished 0-11-1 in 1960. The 1-8 Jets loom as Miami's best shot at a victory.

11-20-2007, 06:02 PM
videotaping the opponents sidelines, not stealing a playbook, huge diff there killer, videotaping part of the first quarter to supposidly learn signs, and actually taking their play book, and using it in team meatings arent one in the same.. and again, its perfectly legal to tape the sidelines, you just cant do it from their sideline, if that guy had been anywhwere else, this wouldnt even be a topic.
Luck_e
11-21-2007, 02:12 PM
signals and playbooks are different...but it's not hard for Moss to beat a corner when he knows beforehand exactly what the corner is gonna do...and it's not hard for the defense to beat an offense when the defense already knows what the offense has called up..i've already put money for the Patriots to win the superbowl by a wide margine...might as well make money off it even if it did ruin a great dynasty.
You can tape the sideline but not the signal callers. Thats what they did. The main reason for the fine was it was the 2nd time they got caught doing it and it was the same camera man. Another big thing was the possiblitly of them interfering with the Jets comm system.

Their coaching staff is a bit suspect, Hostler has struggled with the play calling in his first year. It doesn't help that Nolan is super conservative and pulls all the strings, which also effects the play calling on offense. Also the O-Line took a step back this season. Neither Jonas Jennings nor Justin Smiley were playing well before they got hurt and Larry Allen hasn't been his dominant self. Gore went off against Arizona, but he's been banged up and looks tentative hitting the hole. He's also been hurt by the terrible play calling. As far as the passing game goes, their receivers are terrible and Alex Smith has been banged up. Trent Dilfer did well against Arizona, but he is what he is, a backup. Darrell Jackson was supposed to be a big playmaker, but all he seems to do is drop passes and be too slow to get away from defenders. Arnaz Battle has been their most productive receiver and he's really a #3 or #4 receiver. Vernon Davis is still lacking consistency, dropping balls and missing blocks. Defensively, the pass rush has been inconsistent at times, but they're on the field a lot usually.
Anyways that's my rant. Hopefully the young players on the O-Line continue to gel (Baas, Snyder, Staley) for next season. Add a fast, solid #1 receiver and this offense should be much more effective.

i'm a lifelong Dallas fan so everyone from Washington to New York sucks ass...but i knew when we played the Redskins we had to watch out for Taylor or he was gonna eat us for lunch.what makes this tragedy even worse is it's being attached to what is being called a Miami curse..several Miami players have died the past decade from tragic somewhat related deaths.Football is all about rivalry and teams vs teams...but i was so touched to see the moment of silence at the hole in the wall home game against Green bay tonight...he may have been our rival and a hated enemy...but we respect and love the players who put it all on the line every week.God bless not only Taylor...but all he touched and those of us who lost a legend before his time.
