Sarah Palin - what's your take on her?

So, what does everyone think of McCain's VP choice? My take is that she is likely a good choice. Although she lacks a lot of political experience (similar to Obama) I think her views and politics fall more in line with most of mine than anyone else on either ticket. McCain certainly could have done worse. And I thought her speech was very well presented. She seemed very comfortable.

So far, she has been saying the right things. Saying what everyone wants to hear. There's a long way to go yet....

I can't really say because she really hasn't said anything yet. Since she was announced as Rep. VP nominee, they have kept her away from anything unscripted. My guess is that she is going through a crash course in how to handle the national media - something she has no experience with.

At any rate, I would never choose a president based on the VP candidate so the choice is still McCain vs. Obama. Hmmm, that thread on electing Nikki is looking better all the time.

And no, she (Palin) is not really hot - but Nikki is.

I see her inexperiance as her best trait. otherwise washington
politics/backstabbing/greed would have ruined her by now.
she will make misstakes but unlike the rest of the liars there,
she isnt likely to do them on purpose for the paycheck's.

I think she's only there so that the governement can get in there and drill for oil. She was a chairperson for Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which over sees drill operation and production, I think it's time to get new sources of energy,do we really want 4 more years of the same stuff we have been getting for 8 years. Thats all I see happening. Just my point of view, not that it matters.

I like her. Not happy about her pro-life stance, but that's to be expected.

She's straight, not giving a loud of double talk . . . I think the party needed new blood.

Palin is a VPILF. A lil on the wacko side on certain issues. And she enjoys killing animals. But definitely a VPILF.

thinking it's time for new sources of energy doesn't magically make them economically viable though. we are going to be with oil and other fossil fuels for a long time. personally i am a fan of geothermal and of new nuke plants.

perfect pick when thinking about the gamesmanship of the election, the democrats really can't attack her credibility without sounding hypocritical, sexist, etc same advantage they'd used for a ton of what could have been said about obama.
